Created in occasion of CHANEL Spring – Summer 2022 Haute Couture
Self Expression – the expression of one’s feelings, or ideas, in writing or imagery. To be self-expressive, you need to be willing to be open with your mind, heart and soul. It is everything you believe to be your reality, whether it’s through emotions, behavior or beliefs. I am a dreamer by heart and live my visionary may it be in the mind, soul or spirit. May it be with this piece of my vision of creating and directing.
Imagery – the impact of generated imagery on art. An illusion of the image maker. A poem of imagination. A language of the creator. The art of making.
Perception – the way to understand and think about experience. Perception is awareness, comprehension or an understanding. An interpretation or impression – an opinion or belief. The conscious.
Poem – a piece of writing in which the expression of feelings and ideas is given intensity by particular attention to diction and imagery. A poem is a piece of writing in which the words are chosen and carefully arranged.
Digital Creation – in order of expression, I have chosen brushstrokes to get the perceivers attention. Chosen intuitively from my subconscious, created with emotion, beliefs and experience. May this piece of mine inspire to dream in appreciation of art and creation.
My top three of Virginie Viard’s creation for CHANEL Haute Couture Spring/Summer 2022. Haute Couture to me is a moment to dream and discover a poem. It is a true expression of craftsmanship and souls communication through sewing, wrapping and creating of the artisan and precise time of work and dedication put into creation. Virginie infused her collection with the thought of feeling free, geometric shapes made with contrasts, a great lightness and a lot of freshness, ethereal dresses the float as if suspended. Lots of flounces, fringes, macramé, bright lace, iridescent tweeds, colorful jewelry buttons. All of the house of CHANEL’s embroidery partners collaborated on this collection, one of whose key pieces is a dress entirely embroiled by Lesage with constructivist camellias in black, white and coral beads, worn with a little black jacket. These references also belong to Gabrielle Chanel, of course. It is like a conversation that crosses time.
