It was time to hit the next destination. I would love to show you my memories from our St. Moritz hideaway in the mountains. I’ve visited the Suvretta House, in Via Chasellas 1 St. Moritz last week and here’s my travel diary filled with images from the past 6 days that has been a true fairytale in the Engadin. The Suvretta House located at the high plateau of Chasellas in the quiet Suvretta area. The Hotel enjoys a unique position with a view of the Upper Engadin landscape of lakes and breathtaking mountains. You’ll able to travel to St. Moritz by car, rail or air. This time we have decided to take a flight from Hamburg to Munich and continue our trip with Land Rover to St. Moritz. Once we’ve arrived at the Suvretta House, we’ve got the warmest welcome and felt immediately at home.
Our ‚Private Suite 544‘ which is the only room in that category in the entire hotel as an unique surprise, made an unforgettable stay for both of us. I was impressed by their huge and beautiful lobby / salon with it’s breathtaking windows and a view on the snow-covered mountains. Julia and I tried out three of their gastronomy options, the Suvretta Stube which is a super cozy quaint restaurant and where you’re able to dress casual such as in the Chasellas Restaurant and last but not least, the Grand Restaurant which is the formal restaurant at the Suvretta House.
The Head Chef Fabrizio Zanetti, who has been awarded 14 Gault Millau points, makes sure to make the dinner a unique experience. His motto – quality is the standard and optimization is the goal. Julia and I have been emotionally touched during our last dinner in the Engadin. The live piano performance, the unique surroundings and the incredibly good tasting food experience made all in all an excellent ending. The Suvretta House masters the art of hospitality in a very elagant and unparalleled way. No wish was denied us, the Suvretta House did everything possible to make the best out of everything. More images and informations about our stay coming up by this week. Make sure to check the blog constantly.
In my favorite pair of denim jeans by Vêtements and coolest snow booties by Jimmy Choo. These boots saved me from cold feet and slippery snow affairs. We went up with the ski lift to the El Paradiso shack to enjoy a picturesque mountain view and a cup of delicious tea and coffee.
