The Park Hyatt opened their first Park Hyatt Resort in Europe – Park Hyatt Mallorca, it reflects the style of a traditional Mallorquin hilltop village. The very intimate resort is situated on the north-east coast of Mallorca. You need approximately an one hour drive from Palma’s International Airport. In addition the Resort overlooks the majestic Canyamel valley, which gives the most calming feeling and peace of mind. That was exactly what Julia and I needed after London and Milan Fashion Week, a quick retreat before heading to Paris for another Fashion Week marathon. The Hotel offers four dining options – for traditional cuisine the Balearic Restaurant, for authentic spanish tapas, wines and cocktails the Tapas Bar, for Asiatic cuisine the Asia Restaurant and last but not least for a relaxed breakfast or lunch at bistro Café Sa Placa offering delicious pastries and typical Mallorquin sweets.
Not sure if you know, but the Resort just opened recently in June 2016. So the Park Hyatt village and resort is completely new in a gorgeous but lesser-known part of the island. And my favorite historical village named Artà is only a 10-minute drive away. Ideally based for all sorts of activity breaks, including cycling, hiking, riding, fishing and watersport. Clusters of buildings in honey-coloured stone with dusky pink paintwork are divided by streams and paths. The warm and friendly atmosphere within the luxe environment round off the experience sartorially. The Park Hyatt Mallorca Resort is the right choice for families, the spacious village offers enough space for children to play around. So, all in all very family friendly. I especially loved the understated décor in calming tones of taupe and stone.
We had a perfectly located terrace from where we had the most breathtaking sunset overlooking the valley. And I honestly have to say that the bed was super comfortable, I really slept very well. I still dream of that cozy bed. Breakfast was incredibly delicious. One of the best that I have tried in a Hotel. Rarely had such a fantastic selection of cheese, super chocolate croissants, a variety of fresh juices and smoothies, Avocado on mass and a Latte Macchiato after which I still languish for. The excellent breakfast takes place in the Balearic Restaurant. Some facts: The Park Hyatt Mallorca has 142 spacious rooms and suites with terraces + some of them have a small garden area. The Wi-Fi is fast and fuss free. Bathrooms are equipped with dual washbasins in brown Carrara marble, with a television integrated into the mirror. Gym is open 24 hours! Our three day stay was super pleasant and the right treat before end of the Fashion Week Month.
