From the moment arriving to the Royal Royal Mirage Dubai, the drive up the beautiful courtyard and the long-palm road, we knew that these are going to be an unforgettable trip to the UAE. The rooms a the One&Only Royal Mirage are large and ornately decorated – the best of the best is that the incredible views take over your window during daytime. Nestled on a secluded peninsula on Palm Jumeirah, the resort offers Moorish and Andalusian architecture, a private beach and world-class dining. And as would be expected from One&Only, privacy is the key: there is a private marina allowing secret access by boat. My personal highlight was the private beach, as well as the many restaurants located on the property – also the service is all around spectacular at the One&Only Resorts especially for those who are seeking luxury. The sophisticated and elegant resort is an ideal escape in the heart of Dubai. Usually we are taking time to go around in Dubai, but this time we have fully focused enjoying the One&Only Royal Mirage Property. The compound of buildings at the resort – all vaulted sandstone arches, gleaming columns, and intricate tile work, topped by gloriously painted dome and mirrored by a palm-lined reflecting pool, including two parts: The Palace, with 246 units, and the Arabian court, with 172 units; both sections have rooms and suites with private balconies or terraces overlooking the sea and lushly landscaped gardens. There’s also the more exclusive 50-room-within-a-resort, where we have stayed – the Residence & Spa, which has its own reception, private dining room, and bar, plus the hotel’s mot spacious and exotically decorated rooms and suites. The eight onsite restaurants range from Moroccan to Asian, and Mediterranean to casual beach side seafood.
