Aboveboard, my enthusiasm for Montblanc and their passion for design and innovation, which is their DNA, inspires me since years. Their iconic writing instruments are pure art. I am excited to share my exclusive imagery that I captured during our visit in the Montblanc Headquarter in Hamburg. It was fascinating to discover the ornate process of a writing instrument. The feather of a Montblanc filler takes up to four weeks. The engravings are finest craftsmanship per excellence.

Montblanc has embraced the traditions of lasting value and exquisite craftsmanship, creating the finest instruments which have design, quality and heart. The first Montblanc Atelier was born in my hanseatic city Hamburg and also the design of an icon of the 20th century was realized, the Meisterstück Fountain Pen. From generation to generation – the traditional arts and crafts of the flawless production process continues in the Artisan Studio at the Montblanc Headquarters in Hamburg.

There is a calm silence in their studio where the composer of Montblanc unhurriedly can consider the heart of the products that they manufacture. It was inspiring to see how many processes and departments one filler has to pass through. 100 work stages are needed, for which Montblanc artisans require absolute silence, patience and expertise. Montblanc names their composer soul-makers, a symphony of passion which I find very charming and which shows an appreciation of the art of craftsmanship to the creators.

Be attentive, in the upcoming posts you will discover my Montblanc ‚Meisterstück and organizer filled with fashion week memories. The process of creating the article took me some time and I am excited to share the pages of thoughts and memories with you very soon.
