This time the CHANEL Press Day took place at the Soho House Berlin. Please note that their Gabrielle CHANEL Pop-up Installation is still up until the 13th of May at ‚The Store Berlin‘. During Press Days I mostly keep an eye on the details, the aspect of material aesthetics and most of all pieces that I might have not catched during the CHANEL Ground Control Fall/Winter 2017 Ready-To-Wear Show which was held in the Grand Palais during Paris Fashion Week. The Show was nothing short of extravagant and so is the Ready-To-Wear Collection. In this dynamic times we all seek for storytelling pieces which get us emotionally and in which we see more than a lifetime invest – we are longing for those pieces that will accompany us during many stylizations.
I believe that you will never go with some classic CHANEL tweed, or an iconic piece may it be a special handbag, sunglasses or a pair of irresistible shoes that will give any yet so basic styling a dynamic twist. As Karl Lagerfeld turned the Grand Palais into CHANEL Ground Control Centre and dressed his Crew in classic tweed suits cut for a relaxed fit there’s one thing to mention and to make clear – the collection not only takes us to the darker side of fashion space, with solid-colored total black garments but also lightens up with a few pops of red, cold-toned blues and rose shades.
We will be dressing for Fall/Winter 2017 as fashionable cosmonauts with utterly stylish CHANEL tweed that will keep us warm during the cold, stylish sparkly boots as a statement and key piece for those darker days, sparkly chokers and iconic and outstanding accessories to brighten the mood, astronautic motifs to keep feeling the outer space, and not to forget that the coats and jackets are extremely practical and winter-ready and for the twist of basic looks where we will focus on broochs, jewelry, glasses and CHANEL hand bags which for sure will bring us stylishly through the cooler months… or an eternity. The retro futuristic proposals will get us easily from day to night looks. And below a glimpse of photographs of what could get into our next season’s wardrobe.
